There will be fun crow crafts for children to make and birthday cake.  There will be a sale on selected crow merchandise in our Nature Store, and Princess will even be allowed out of her exhibit to “mingle” with her party guests!  Free.

Gardening Series #3- Bed Preparation and Mulch

Leader: Ron Aakjar

Age: Adults

Fee: $5 Adults, $3 Children, $3/$1.50 for Audubon Members

This talk will be a hands-on approach to gardening.  We will be going out and taking a small plot at the Audubon Center and making a new garden area.  This will involve shoveling, weed/plant removal, soil analysis, amendments and planting some perennials to spruce up the area.  After we have the area prepared we will be looking at different types of mulch and which ones work for what kinds of area.  The area that we worked on, along with the bird/butterfly garden will get a new layer of mulch to make them shine.  Pre-registration is highly recommended.  Please call the Center to sign up.

APRIL 26, SATURDAY, 3-5 pm
